Jules Glasswerks is really just one person. Me, Paul Bailey. I got the name Jules from my daughter, Juli , who goes by Jules. I started making simple beaded jewelry almost 15 years ago. I quickly fell in love with beads and the variety of colors and textures. I especially loved glass ones. Just stringing beads though, didnt seem to satisfy my creative urges anymore. I wanted to make them. One day at a local artisan market, i ran into a lady making glass beads , and boom , i was hooked. Took a few lessons and learned the rest on my own(yes i made tons of crappy beads for a long time). After 9 years, I have now developed my own style. I love to mix bright color with organic and earthy styles. I also got into fusing glass pendants , both from regular fusible glasses and from glass i have first worked on the torch. I hope to one day fuse large pieces , for wall hangings and scultural pieces. I love all things about glass , hot and cold. I also love painting, drawing, mixed media. But mostly glass. My glass studio is in beautiful East Tennessee where I live with my beautiful wife, Alisa.
